Kyiv region focuses on medical tourism

Kyiv region is planned to be made a center of medical tourism. Now the Kyiv regional state administration (KRSA) in cooperation with the Ukrainian Association of Medical Tourism, is developing an action plan to popularize the region.

Medical tourism is a relatively new concept for Ukraine, which has been practiced in the world for a long time. The main goal is to help patients with various diseases find the most suitable clinic in terms of price and quality for diagnosis, treatment or rehabilitation - domestically or abroad.

A significant number of medical and resort institutions are located on the territory of the region, so we have something to offer medical tourists. The regional approach will help develop the industry of medical and health tourism in small towns and resorts, attract investments, build modern centers, create new jobs and retain medical personnel from the search for alternative work abroad ", - said Tatiana Shcherbak. the deputy head of the KRSA.

In the nearest future, it is planned to hold a global congress of medical and health tourism, international meetings, an information tour for Ukrainian and foreign providers of medical tourism to Ukrainian clinics, tourist excursions to places, an exhibition of Ukrainian and foreign representatives of clinics, provider companies, rehabilitation centers.
