Russia has launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, in what the European Union is calling one of the darkest hours for Europe since World War Two.

Tanks and troops have poured into Ukraine at points along its eastern, southern and northern borders. Russian military convoys have crossed from Belarus into Ukraine's northern Chernihiv region, and from Russia into the Sumy region, which is also in the north. Convoys have also entered the eastern Luhansk and Kharkiv regions, and moved into the Kherson region from Crimea - a territory that Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

Ukraine closed its airspace to civilian flights shortly before 1am today (24 February), and flights have been rerouted to steer clear of the conflict zone. Several military airfields being targeted by the Russian military.

Strongly recommend to suspend travelling to Ukraine nearest days.
